We think Sedona, AZ is a great place to visit over the Christmas Break.
The hike to the Seven Sacred Pools via Cibola Pass trail was excellent. We enjoyed the Cibola pass trail, but the seven sacred pools were low in water and a bit disappointing.
We hiked up to the fifth creek crossing in the West Fork of Oak Creek Trail in the morning of the second day. It was colder than the town and the rocks in the creek crossing were wet and slippery. It would have been an excellent hike during hot summer days.
Because we had to cut the morning hike short, we decided to do a short 1 mile hike to the Munds Wagon trail. The scenery was beautiful! We will come back to finish the Munds Wagon, Cow Pies, and Hangover Loop Trail next year.
In the third day, we did the Fay Canyon Trail including the climb to Fay Canyon Arch. It was a bit of struggle to climb up to the arch but definitely worth it. Afterward we did a short hike to the Boynton Canyon Vortex.
